Retired Technical Sales Representative | Member of the Business Team

Tom started at the Welland plant in 1971 as a Process Control Technician. He then moved to the head office in Toronto and worked in Marketing and Tech Service until 1992 when Union Carbide Canada closed. Moved back to the Welland plant which became the Canadian Headquarters for UCAR Carbon. He was a member of the Business Team here and most of Tom’s career was spent dealing with customers in the Canadian iron and steel industry, with having spent 2 of those years selling cathode blocks to the aluminum industry worldwide.  Tom is a current member and Board member at the Dalhousie Yacht Club in St. Catharine’s, enjoys sailing, spending time with his grandchildren, travelling, and lawn bowls. He also enjoys a good book and playing cards with friends.
